This is the first Bossa Live update!
First, a huge thanks for your help with getting Bossa Live up and
running! We are working away at the site and should be moving out of
this private beta stage in the near future. Our focus is on adding
features to make Bossa Live "the" place to get together and talk about
music on the web.
Updating Your Profile
The Bossa Transponder for Windows and the Bossa Dashboard Widget for the Mac have been working tirelessly in the background keeping all our beta tester profiles up to date! They are the link from your music to your profile. They sit quietly on your computer and update your profile on BossaLive.com as you listen to music.For Bossa users on the PC the Transponder is not turned on by default. If you don’t see the Bossa icon in your system tray go to Start>All Programs>Startup>Bossa and click on Transponder. Now your musical profile will be automatically updated.
For Mac users, until now, our dashboard widget has only been available to friends and family. We would like to get more people using it. If you know any Mac users who you think might want to be part of the test team send them this link for the widget:
New feature - web player
One of the features that we have been working on is our built in
audio
player. If you click on the play button
next to a song, an audio player pops up at the bottom of the page and
starts
playing if we can find mp3 files online. This is a great way to listen
to music
other user’s are listening to. From
there you can click on the artist or song name and get more information
about
each one.
Soon you’ll also be able to embed the player into your website, blog or
social network site. Watch this space!
